TRANSIT

DEVELOPMENT PLAN

10-YEAR TRANSIT PLAN

The Transit Development Plan (TDP) is a 10-year strategic guide for improving public transportation in Hillsborough County over the next 10 years. The TDP includes funded and unfunded needs, service and capital priorities, and implementation and financial plans. The TDP must be updated annually in order to receive State Public Transit Block funds from the Florida Department of Transportation, and a major update is required every five years. The HART FY 2018 TDP update was a major update, and included a Comprehensive Operations Analysis (COA) of the HART system. The 2017 HART COA resulted in Mission MAX, a series of route and schedule changes that will be implemented on October 8, 2017. The FY 2018 system redesign (known as Mission MAX) sets the foundation of the FY2018-FY2027 HART TDP, and positions HART to build on and expand the system in the future.
