HART uses a comprehensive system of specifications and competitive bidding procedures to procure essential goods and services for Hillsborough County’s transit system. This process saves significant dollars by awarding contracts to the lowest respondent who meets the project's specifications, complies with all the terms and can deliver the service or product within the designated timeframe.

We purchase the basic goods and services required to maintain and manage public transit. This includes:
