Alan Clendenin
Born in Sanford Florida, Alan attended public schools in central Florida before attending Valencia Community College and the University of Colorado, Boulder. Alan spent 32 years as an air traffic control specialist working with the Federal Aviation Administration. He had extensive labor and management experience during his 32-year career.
Alan is currently the City Council Chairman and is a member of the Tampa Bay Committee on Foreign Relations, and he has served on numerous professional boards, including the City of Tampa Civil Service Board. Alan currently serves on Tampa City Council, representing District 1, a citywide seat. The Transportation Planning Organization (TPO). Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, and the Tampa Sports Authority (TSA).
He has lived in Tampa since 1985 and along with his partner, raised two children that attended public schools in the City.
