HART is considering fare changes, including discontinuing paper passes,
changes in streetcar fare, and fare capping adjustments. This transition
aims to modernize fare collection, enhance convenience, and improve
the rider experience.
Flamingo Fares, our smartcard and e-fare system, will be the primary
method to pay your HART fare, allowing passengers to use a reloadable
smartcard or a mobile app. Flamingo makes it easier to manage accounts,
replace lost or stolen cards, and ensures riders always get the best
price through fare capping, never paying more than the price of a day
or 31-day pass.
HART staff will be at transit and transfer centers over the next
few months to discuss the proposed changes and collect rider feedback.
